Hello Copyright Process

My first and last images for the Metaphorical Me project (below) were both found on Unsplash. Under both images on the site, the artists posts them as “free to use under the Unsplash License. Found in the help section of the website, they describe exactly what this statement means. When researching further, I found that if a user wanted to sell an artists photograph, they would first need to “update, modify or otherwise incorporate new elements into the photo.” I am confident I can use either of these photos on my personal without breaking any copyright laws due to the clearly stated terms on the Unsplash website. Nothing needs to be changed or edited as I am not directly selling anything as my own.

I selected my third image from Pixabay. Similar to Unsplash, the clearly list out what is, and is not, allowed for use of photos on their website. I am confident I can use this photo on my website because “all content (e.g. images, videos, music) on Pixabay can be used for free for commercial and noncommercial use across print and digital, except in the cases mentioned in “What is not allowed”.” I am not using the photo for anything listed under the “Not Allowed” section.
